Biography

Doug leads Better Outcome’s overall business strategy and execution.

Doug is also the founder and CEO of Continuum Capital Managers, leading the firm’s overall business and working closely with portfolio companies to help accelerate growth, maximize value and achieve their strategic vision.

Prior to Continuum, Doug was a partner of Goldman Sachs, president of Goldman Sachs Mutual funds, head of Private Wealth Management International and Chairman of Goldman Sachs Bank, A.G.

Doug previously spent 12 years in a variety of capacities at MFS Investment Management including wholesaler, national sales manager, founder and president of MFS Retirement Services and was a member of the MFS Advisory Board.

Doug serves or has served as a member of the board of directors of Goldman Sachs International, Goldman Sachs Mutual Funds, Altegris, Osmosis Investment Management, Destra Capital Management, Athena Capital Advisors and Cadence Capital Management.

Doug was previously a Trustee of The American School in London, The Dana Hall School, The Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and a member of the Advisory Board of The Trustees of Reservations.

Doug earned a BS in Economics Management with honors from Ithaca College.

Biography

Steve leads Better Outcome’s investment origination, strategy and integration efforts. 

Steve is also the founder and President of Continuum Capital Managers, leads the firm’s investment origination and working closely with existing partners to achieve their strategic objectives and help maximize business value.

Prior to Continuum, Steve was a senior executive with State Street, serving as Global Head of Strategy and as head of the Global Investment Analytics division.  

He was previously a Partner at Partners Capital Investment Group, where he led the firm’s private equity investment activities globally.  Prior to Partners Capital, Steve was a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s wealth and asset management practices.

Steve serves or has served as a member of the board of directors of Altegris, Destra Capital Management, DirectIndex, and Supernova Companies, as well as State Street’s investment committee overseeing $2 billion in retirement assets.  

He currently chairs the Board of Trustees of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham, was a Trustee of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard University teaching hospital, and is a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health’s investment committee, overseeing over $6 billion in assets.

Steve earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB in Economics with high honors from Dartmouth College.

Biography

Matt leads Better Outcome’s manager selection and due diligence.

Matt is also CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Altegris, a pioneer in providing access to alternative sources of income and growth. Matt has over 30 years of experience in the art and science of sourcing and selecting alternative asset managers for client portfolios.

Prior to co-founding Altegris in 2002, Osborne was the Director of Research for the Managed Investments Division of Man Financial, with responsibility for manager selection and research.

Previously, Matt had a 12-year career with a prominent family investment office in his native New Zealand. In his role as Senior Investment Manager, Osborne was responsible for formulating investment policies and implementing a global asset allocation program that focused on alternative investments, including hedge funds, managed futures, private equity, and real assets.

In an era where 60/40 portfolios are challenged because fixed-income yields are essentially locked in at zero, there continues to be demand for alternatives from institutions and financial advisors, alike.

Matt has significant investing and trading expertise in equities, fixed income, foreign currencies, global futures, and options, among other securities and currently holds FINRA Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
